Mascara Blacklist

There are things that should stay off your skin and thats why we created the mascara blacklist.  As you can see, its a simple list that you may want to refer to at the time you buy mascara. There are a lot of different ingredients that go into making a great mascara product.  However, you need to be fore-warned that not all ingredients are good for you.  Below to the right is a list of chemicals that are not good for your body.  These are chemicals you are highly suggested to keep AWAY from your body.  We created this mascara blacklist so you are better informed consumer.  These items are not organic mascara products.  These would definately not be considered natural beauty products.

We realize the difficulty in going through the list in trying to decide if the mascara product is healthy to put on your body.  In a future post, we will make things a bit easier on you so you don't have to go through the list.

Nitrosamines are the potential by-products of reactions between these ingredients and other ingredients. Nitrosamines are potent carcinogens.
12.Ingredients that are generally considered to be harsh on the skin.Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Can be made solely from natural sources, but is a very aggressive detergent

So its up to you to check the packaging for the chemicals listed above.  Most truly organic mascara will not have items on the mascara blacklist. Save yourself by using natural organic mascara products.  Bookmarking this page may be a good idea so you can later reference our mascara blacklist.
